We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded £20,000 of funding from Bristol City Council.
This grant is to recognise the contribution AGB has made locally during the pandemic.
We will be using it to help us continue supporting many local projects that improve the lives of those living in BS3 and helping to support those affected by the pandemic.
After many discussions with our Steering Group, we have now confirmed that we are sharing the funding amongst the below projects and groups:
- BS3 Covid19 Community Response Team: An online support, advice, befriending service and helpline
- Bedminster Youth Club: Set up in 2019, and open access, free to attend Club, providing a safe space for young people, aged 8-16 years.
- Pass the Parcel: A local project sharing Christmas gifts with adults and children less fortunate in our community.
- Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade: The largest community event in South Bristol, hoping to bring the community together once again this February.
- ACTA Wellbeing Café: To support the planned reopening of a café space at ACTA to support vulnerable adults, older individuals and those with mental health difficulties.
